  • requesting consent from employer to release contract terms

    Hi,
I am a business consultant and I want to start my own limited company to create a website, providing digital content and tools in relation to my profession.

In my employment contract, there are two clauses which are restricting me to start my own limited company and the other to own the IP of my content.

I am planning to draft up a request consent letter to ask my company to allow me to do this and describe the nature of the business.

    Can anyone advise as
    1. This is the best approach to take?
    2. Where can I find some sample documents for such purpose as I haven't managed to find anything remotely similar to my scenario?

Thanks in advance with your help.
