An old debt of mine has been sold to a company called Fairfax and they want me to up my current payment. I have never stopped paying the debt (albeit at a low amount with other debts from some time ago). I asked for a copy of the original credit agreement in December last year, by April they had still not found it. They then wrote to me to advise that when their offices were open they would forward it to me. It arrived today, but it does not look like a credit agreement. It looks like a copy of my application with my application date, number, date, name address, date of birth and employment employment details. There is no creditors address, terms and conditions, no APR, cancellation rights etc. The company name is at the top of the letter and they have also sent a print out of every transaction made.It does have the date the application was approved. They have included a letter explaining the digital signature. So some parts are there, but I am not sure if this counts as the original credit agreement. Any advice would be great.
