Hi,
I’ seeking advise about nursery deposit.
We paid one months fees deposit on the registration which is then refundable on last day at nursery or taken against last months fee.
We were due to finish in August as my son was starting reception second week in September, so we extended for additional 3 days in September. They sent us invoice for 4 days, when I questioned it with management team, she said she passed it on to accounts and it will be corrected. Now accounts want to take 1 day underpayment from deposit. I have written email confirmation between me and their management team for 3 days in September.
I questioned about deposit numerous times, but had reply that it’s being processed. Finally this week Monday I got email from their accounts saying £200 were taken from deposit in September 2017 as we underpaid fees. We changed from 3 days to 4 days a week but paid still for 3 days, and they’ve taken it from deposit. I’ve checked my emails back to 2017 and I have it proven that we only requested for additional days from October, and paid all fees correctly. I sent their accounts all mails trails proving my requests and had no response back until I sent them Working letter that I’m going to take it to small court claims.
To which their accounts replied tonight she ignored that fact that there was no underpayment in September 2017, and that fees for childcare services already provided can not be refunded.
Secondly they now say that we owe them as in April, May, June, and August 2018 local authority didn’t pay 30 hours funds for my son and there is liability of £1115 which they are offering us to take from deposit and remaining to write off as a good will....
I’ve checked my son’s childcare account which we need to reconfirm every 3 months and I have proof on gov.uk account that it was successfully reconfirmed for months they say local authorities didn’t pay them. We have never been notified that there is an issue with 30 hours free childcare grant account, neither with £200 underpayment in 2017
Sorry for such a long story it seem very complex now, and I’m seeking your advise on how is best to proceed in this situation.
i have all prof in email or gov uk, against to what their accounts say.
