  • BW Legal - Mediation letter

I borrowed some money from a payday lender (not the greatest of ideas in hindsight but I was desperate) about 5/6 years ago when I was trouble financially . I paid off the amount that is being claimed at the time it was due and unfortunately I do not have proof that I paid it off I lost a lot of paperwork as my then house got flooded.

I followed the directions that are recommended such as asking for details etc and they did not manage to send me any documents that proved that I owed them the money (they sent a terms and conditions two page document with my initial registration to the payday lender and nothing else. When I challenged this they put the account on hold and had been silent for almost a year and a half. Then this week they sent me a mediation letter.

They appear to have just picked up from where they left off.......no proof of documents signed or anything that refers to what I borrowed.
