  • Pcp and VT advice

    Hi all,

Looking for some advice on my pcp with vwfs. My handback date is the 28th september 2020 but in the email vwfs sent me re my options at end of contract they outlined i could exercise vt as im paid off over 50%

Im struggling financially thanks to covid so my desire to do right by the finance company is waning. Id like to exercise vt to avoid some fees including
    - excess mileage (45300 inst of contracted 40800)
    -2nd year mot (4yo car)
    - vw overpriced service

The issues im looking for some clarification on are as follows (numbered for easier replies)

    1. As long as i vt before the handback and mot date i will be ok to avoid paying the mot? Front tyres also need replacing but i was ok with doing these
    2. The service is overdue slightly. According to service book was due aug 2020 or 39000 miles (only missed this due to covid again). Am i liable for this because of the mileage?
    3. There is some damage to the car i know they will charge me for - damage to paint on rear bumper and cigarette burn on rear seat (thankyou a**hole friend).i am aware these will not fall under fair wear and tear. What i couldnt see was whether vt was inelligible if there is this kind of damage outsode fw&t? Or do they come after me for these damages after i vt?

Thanks for any and all replies! Really appreciate the help
