  • PLEASE HELP. Anti-social behaviour - Soc Housing tenants - accelerated eviction?

my apologies, I think I posted this in the wrong place!!

I live on an estate which is a mixture of owner occupied & soc housing residents. All residents get-on & children play together. It's a nice place, with the exception of 1 family. The family are neighbours from hell. There have been noise nuisances, shouting & swearing, drug dealing, threats, abusive behaviour, vehicles & property damaged.. The residents have not retaliated, just called the Police & made complaints to the HA and called the police.

The HA have finally given them THREE MONTHS notice.

Since they received the notice, the behaviour has increased. One member of the family was arrested for making threats toward another resident yesterday and remains in custody.
However, this caused other family members to retaliate. They were shouting & swearing at residents in the street today - threatening to "have them". Residents are scared - unable to let the children play outside.
We will be discussing the incidents with HA & the police again tomorrow, but we cannot take any more. Our children & homes are not safe.

We were wondering if the HA have any 'emergency' eviction powers or can use an accelerated procedure to get a rapid possession order?

We would be so grateful for any help or advice anyone can provide. Thank you.
