Recently out the blue A ppi claims management company contacted me out the blue to say they had got me a refund from a loan and some credits cards and that I owed them a fee for getting it for me. At first I ignored them as I had never signed up for them to do this.but they started sending letters threatening to take me to court if I didn’t pay so as I had had the money through I decided to pay them to get them off my back. They turned into a pain in the arse overcharging me and what not so I decided to look into it further and asked one of the banks to send me the letter of authority that the claims company had sent to them. I was surprised when they sent it too me it does have an old signature of mine on it from about 20 years ago as it’s changed now but I know 100% I never signed this document. Is there anything I can do? Or am I best just leaving it?
