Hi there, I recently received paperwork from Civil enforcement Ltd earlier this year to settle judgement debt. This was new to me and i quickly found out that i had received a CCJ back in the summer of 2018 which i was not aware of. Until September of this year i was away from home renting a room close to an airport elsewhere in the country where i worked. My grandad lives in the property with me who is elderly and over the age of 85. I did not come home very often during 2017-2018 and never received any paperwork relating to the parking ticket or CCJ.
I am so stressed as my credit file is in ruins. It's very frustrating as if i had known about the debt i am in a strong position to pay the debt off with no problem.
I have paid to the courts for a set aside judgement and have been sent the N244 form to complete and send. I have no idea how to go about filling out the form correctly to get across my situation. The only evidence i have is a reference letter from my previous employer stating where i was based during the time of the CCJ which shows i was not at home.
Nearly two months have passed since i received the N244 form, i haven't had the confidence to be able to complete it and am looking for help. I have asked citizens advice for help but during this pandemic they are not willing to help me fill it out or advice me how to fill out the form.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
