Mercedes Unregulated Agreement - Preventing Voluntary Termination

Hi Guys, I have a finance agreement with Mercedes and I have made 33 payments of the 36 payment on the agreement. As this vehicle is used as an airport transfer vehicle work has completely dried up. I asked Mercedes this morning if I could VT this vehicle (having paid 73%) and they say I can't as the finance is an "Unregulated Agreement" so I can't just hand the vehicle back to them and I can only settle the agreement. Is this correct and what can I do if anything?*
