Hi I have been granted specialists recognition in oral surgery in britain and the republic of ireland. When I did my full time 3 year training programme in oral surgery in britiain I was not given a CCST at the end of my training and hence had to go through an assessment with an independent panel at the GDC before they granted me specialist recognition and equibvelance to a CCST. The CCST is listed as the qualification recognised in europe in the proffessional qualifications directive 2005/36/EC however I received a letter of compliance from *the GDC staring that I have equivalence with the CCST which is also compliant with article 35 of *the PQD. Is this sufficiently compliant to be recognised in the EU under the legislation P.S. I was born and raised in the UK.
