Hello, I have just joined the forum and would like to let you know about my situation.
I made a subject access request back in April 2019 to an organisation, the organisation did provide me with some data within 30 days. However it was clear data was missing, so I quickly informed the organisation.
They ignored me and so I contacted the Information commissioner office. The organisation then provided me with more information but I knew more data was missing. I have gone back and forth with this organisation asking for all data but they have now informed me they have to get their clients permission before they can give me further data. Please note I am aware of legal professional privilege and the organisation themselves have confirmed in writing that the data they are asking their clients permission does not fall into legal professional privilege.
It does not make sense the organisation is seeking their clients permission as they are fully aware I do not seek data between themselves and their client. The information commissioner office decided that the organisation made a infringement but regarding the organisation seeking their clients permission to provide me data that I will have to pursue this further directly with the organisation. This has been going on for a long time and the organisation is ignoring communications with me.
I have been informed that I can get compensation and the other way forward to go to Court. Although I would be happy to receive compensation I really want the data. Please could anyone help me on how to pursue this further. I have been informed that I can take the matter to the High Court to get the Judge to order the organisation to provide the data to me, however this would cost a lot of money. Is there a way of going to the High Court maybe making an application by myself?
I would really appreciate if you could please give me any advice.*
Many thanks*
