  • Lowell, BT old debt, leaving contact early and being charged. Tomlin order

    Hi,
Hope someone can help, I am sure this has been said many times before.*
I left BT back in 2014 (Jan)* as they increased their prices during the contract. My credit file defulted in August 2104 (this is now showing as a closed account on my clearscore credit file) I never heard anything from BT for years until mid 2019* where Lowell started ccj proceedings. My home was flooded in March 2019 and I was not allowed back in my home until June 3rd, the builders basically putting letters any and everywhere. When I moved back in I found papers from Northampton court where I had to respond back to Lowell claim, I did and it was stayed as they never came back, I asked for proof of debt and they never answered anything when I checked with Northampton court in August they said there was no response from , Lowell then in November I received a letter from Croydon county court stating that a hearing will be held their??? Lowell claimed they sent me a directions questionnair...never received but it seems they don't have* to provide any proof that they actually sent this.* I called BT and they could not find the debt..but then today I received a copy of a bill total of573.79 and now Lowell want to add a Tomlin order and bring the cost up to £849.48.* What should I do? Any advice on how to proceed.
