CCJ timeframe for set aside?

I became aware of a CCJ from a parking fine in feb 2019 when I spoke to the claimant they said I could appeal but it would cost £225 and there was no guarantee it would get set aside. As I couldn’t afford the court fee I started paying instalments (for fine if £348) *even though I had never received the parking ticket as it was sent to an old address (I had redirection but had not changed address with DVLA). Now months on I am struggling to manage my 0%credit balance and remortgage due to the credit file rating. If I apply to set aside now is this a massive gamble due to the time lapse? I really feel they left me with no option at the time due to the court fee and possibility I may get a fine from dvla which is higher. Dilemma! Thanks in advance*
