Teacher potential claim

Recently I have been the subject of a malpractice accusation during which I faced a panel at the TRA & was subsequently cleared of any wrong doing ! It was agreed that the school I worked at had tampered with evidence, exaggerated & corruptly brought this claim against me for their own personal gain ! This resulted in my dismal & the OCR exam board finding me guilty of the accusation based on inaccurate information they were presented by the school. As a result I was prohibited from teaching any OCR related programs for a period of 3 years ! I am now cleared of the accusation & it was agreed the school have acted in a dishonest & unprofessional manner ! Am i in a position to claim for defamation of character?
