Hello. So I received a notice of application for a small claim. Shoosmiths acting on behalf of arrow global Guernsey for a credit card debt that was defaulted on 30/4/2012. The claim pack went to my mother's address so I didn't see it within the reply time. It was this Saturday so in a panic I filed a dispute online on the grounds that the debt is statue barred as I didn't want to receive a default judgement. I phoned the court's this morning and because shoosmiths hadn't asked for the default decree my dispute takes priority and to check the post for a court date. The debt definitely is statue barred but they have commented that I made a payment of one pound on the 12/12/2014. I have had the same bank account for the past 10 years and can get all statements to show no payments where made. Im just unsure of what steps I can now take. Can I contact Shoosmiths asking for all the original documents or let it go to court and bring my evidence with me.*
