  • Newbie - Letter Before Claim Excel Parking - Parked in a restricted/prohibited Area

    Hello everyone,

Excel Parking have issued :Letter Before Claim Letter for Parking in a Restricted/Prohibited Area. The area in question was a gravel car park with no lines visable. SA1 Car Park Swansea. SA1 8PL.

There was a parking attendant walking past my car when I had parked, gettingmy bag out of the back seat and said nothing. 10 mins later I had the sticker on my window saying I had parked n a restricted area.

When I first appealed in February 2019, I then had 4 - ;'we are still considering your appeal emails' before their decision in June not to allow the appeal.

I did not mention I was the driver of the vehicle, I was the registered keeper. in my first appeal that was of course rejected. I didnt bother trying to appeal to the IPC.

I then received one final demand letter dated 22.8.19 to respond by 29.8.19 with payment.. (Whiich I ignored)

Then in a letter dated 19.9.19 I received the Letter Before Claim and forms for £130 payment and to respond by 19.10.19.

The reply forms seem to be for admitting you owe the debt or part of the debt and the ' I dont own the debt Box D if it belongs to another person or cue to a legal problem.

Do I need to fill this in and put that I dispute I was parked in a restricted area ?

    Thank You
