Newby looking for help with prolbem neighbours....I'm sure that is familiar!

Hello. I found you in an internet search. Any help pointing me to where to read up or post would be gratefully received. My neighbour had decided to get work done on their house. The contractor (another neighbour) used a high pressure jet wash on the wood panels with my car parked below, and wrote off my car with paint damage. The same day he also trespassed many times and did work on the neighbours property. The neighbours solicitor has now written saying the trespass and damage was not their fault and want to come back and complete the work under the requirements of the 1992 Access to Neighbouring Land Act.
