  • PPI Dial4aloan FIRST PLUS Urgent help needed only several days left

Hi all, I'm new to this site and only came across it whilst looking for some advise on a failed PPI claim with First Plus / Dial 4 A Loan.

I took a 2 secured loans out with First Plus several years ago this one in 2003. I tried to trace these years ago when the PPI saga started but gave it up as a bad job when i didn't get anywhere. Anyhow, after keep hearing on the radio about the PPI deadline approaching i thought id give it another go.

I contacted Barclays to raise a PPI complaint and they put me in touch with First Plus as i didn't have any paperwork with it being so long ago. First Plus wrote back to me and said that one of the loans didn't have PPI but the other did and the loan was sold to me by Dial 4 A Loan. After a lot of faffing about and hours on hold over the phone trying to chase this, i finally on 16th Aug 2019 received a letter from Dial 4 A Loan, basically saying i did have PPI but couldn't claim. Please see the letter attached.

Im at a loose end at a crucial moment as I've only about 6 days before this PPI saga ends and i didn't want to miss out.

I understand that they are saying they wasn't regulated as it was pre 2005, but i just don't know where to go from here. There was a post several years ago on this site in regards to the same company and somebody actually winning their case by going to an underwriter. The post states that there was a letter to send to them, but i can't seem to find it.

Absolutely any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.
