Parking charge debacle

Hi everyone. Always found this forum useful but now I need some more detailed advice if anyone can help me. I have received a string of letters from Brittania Parking co. Then from BW legal threatening to take me to County Court over unpaid PCN. Issue from Mar 19 where vehicle I am keeper of photo'd using carpark without paying a ticket. I ignored first couple of letters from Brittania but now BW Legal been in touch and are threatening Court. I intend to appeal should this be the case but am looking for advice as to whether I respond to BW legal or wait for court contact? They are chasing me for around £250.
