voluntary termination of P.C.P

i sent an Email and confirmation by post of voluntary termination on the 10th June finance company have confirmed receipt and said that they had forwarded this to the company that arranged inspection of vehicle on the 12th June, i have spoken to them but they claim they haven't received it and until they do they cannot send anyone out to inspect the car. am i within my rights to withhold my payments or could this result in me being taken to court
