Hi I am looking for some advice on the following Back in 2015 I purchased a franchise and received a loan of £30K from HSBC to assist the purchase a year later my business failed and went into insolvency. I believed the loan to be unsecured to the ltd company not myself but at the very last minute prior to taking out the loan the HSBC business manager asked me to sign a debenture the asset named on it I did not own as my house purchase had not gone through and then fell through a few afterwards. I am now being chased personally for this loan by Cabot financial I can not find any records of this loan on and credit referencing agency against me. Can I be chased personally for this loan ?
