  • UAE Debt being chased in UK by IDRWW

I know this has been asked a few times all over the internet but I am praying someone on here has got some definitive FACTS about whether or not a Debt collector in the UK can LEGALLY enforce a debt from the UAE.

This debt is from 2012, where I had to leave due to being made redundant. Please don't judge, as it was a case of leave or go to jail.

Back in 2013, Coyle White Devine found me at my work address and were sending me letters and court documents but I never responded to any and left the country for a year and never heard from them again, until last week when IDRWW (who have the same directors at CWD) started emailing and sending letters to a house I have just moved to.

I have read on the internet of cases where CWD have secured rulings in the UK court for UAE debt, but I have also heard that these are fake cases to make people think they will have to pay.

I just need to know, should I be worried here, should I ignore the letters or should I engage with them. I don't have the money to pay them as I'm only just keeping my head above water right now. If it did go all the way to court I would consider making myself bankrupt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
