  • Oversized trees in a neighbours garden

Hi - a neighbour has a couple of huge (60-80 meters) conifers at the bottom of her garden which backs onto ours. We have a south facing garden so this tree is now blocking a huge amount of sunlight in our garden and the needles are gathering on top of our shed and all the back of it is rotting. We have spoken with her and she is very amenable and happy to help but her house is a housing association one so it is a managemnt company (no longer the council) who looks after her property. We have tried calling them ourselves to ask about cutting these trees back substantially but they will not deal with us and it has to come from her. She has said she will call them to discuss but is there anything else we can do to move this on?? Would a solicitors letter to the management company help move this on?? If so how do we do this and how much will it cost?

    Many thanks
    Claire
