  • Re: Norton Financial Services LTD

    Hello,

Just to kindly ask for some much needed advice in relation to trying to claim back ppi. Back in 2004 I had a very short 6 month loan with Norton Financial Services Limited.

I have in my possession the original signed credit agreement customer copy that clearly shows the I paid £675.00 ppi on the loan. It also clearly shows the 'Lender' as being Norton Financial Services limited.

The problem I am faced with is that I contacted Norton Financial Services Limited directly to request my ppi refund along with statutory interest from 2004. However I was told that the ppi was sold to me by Norton Finance Uk Ltd and that they ceased trading in 2012 and all claims against them are being dealt with via the Fscs.

I contacted the FSCS and was told by them that I am 6 months out of luck to claim as they only deal with claims from January 2005.

My argument is that 'NO WHERE' on the credit agreement does it state that the lender of the loan is Norton Financial Services LTD with the ppi applied by Norton Finance UK ltd! The name Norton Finance UK LTD is no where to be found on the credit agreement.

I feel this is nothing more than some kind of elaborate ruse or deception in order to avoid payout. Surely the lender shown on a credit agreement is the one responsible for a valid claim such as this?

So they not only missold ppi to me but failed in their duty to inform me via a legal and binding document of any other name they may trade under. Therefore my question is do I have any legal redress or is a credit agreement literally not worth the paper it is written on?

Thank you in advance for any assistance
