  • BMW Voluntary Termination

Hi, I'm in the process of VT'ing my BMW X5. BMW Financial Services have told me I must sign a 'VT Pack' however I've seen online that one is not obliged to do this. When I told BMW that I wouldn't sign it they responded that without a signed VT pack they can't process the request and the car will remain my responsibility until such time as I do sign one. Is this correct or legal? I have already emailed and sent a letter by recorded delivery stating my desire to have the car collected before 3oth Jan 2019 - however they also say they can't collect it that soon. My insurance and parking permit run out at the end of Jan and I don't want to incur further costs because BMW are refusing to expedite my VT request. What should I do? any advice appreciated.
