Evening! I'm looking for advice on a ppi claim on an old House of Fraser and Dorothy Perking accounts. In which we paid PPI.
I have completed an online claim form for both cards which we closed years ago, claiming to have been missold the insurance which was common place back when we opened the accounts in the mid 90s.
Santander have written to me today and stated that it is still investigating the complaint but doesn't currently believe I have a complaint that should be upheld.
It has also asked for further information regarding means to be completed on a enclosed questionnaire, that will be used to make a final assessment.
This includes employment information and how I could have paid back the card if sick etc or other funds to pay such as savings. All of which I remember already advising on and stating that I would be paid sick pay and had savings when completing the online complaint , but do I need to inform them who I worked for and any information on financial monies to proceed with the claim?
I was clearly missold the policies on both cards but back then this was part of the norm and believe the reps opening the card accounts got paid commission to automatically add this without fully and clearly explaining what the implications and cost were.
