  • CCJ by default, I already paid, now Court has sent me a claim form

Hi - I have probably been very stupid but I received a CCJ against me by default - I was never sent a Claim Pack from the court ( Northampton ) and was unable to defend myself - so presented with a fait accompli, I paid it all. Now I have had a letter from the court apologising for not sending me a claim pack, stating they have automatically removed any CCJs and that I do not need to take any action. I also received, (by the same post, separate envelope), a claim pack, to which I am advised to respond or there will be another CCJ against me. I've sent the court a letter with a copy of the CCJ and proof of payment. This was all within 10 days of the CCJ so I assume it will not be entered against me, but I'm sick and tired of being frightened by these people, I paid so there would be an end to it and I have no more money, and now it looks like dragging on and on and on - are they allowed to do this? surely if its paid that's the end of it?
