Wife wife forgot to pay for shopping, she was returning to store when security woman met her. The act is in dispute. My grievance is with the Police who took my wife’s Driving Licence and have the details to the store. My wife before even being to court has had a letter from Tesco demanding £125. I’m concerned the Police broke Data protection laws. By giving my wife’s details to this private entity before any criminal activity has been decided by court. My wife never divulged her details to the store. The Police fave the details in fact they passed my wife’s licence on a search under caution to the Tesco member of staff. I think this surely is against the law. Please help.
