  • Was made redundant, company seeking staff on my old shift.

There has been a recent restructuring period at my work, where shift patterns have been changed to a later working time, previously my shift was 9.30-18.00, New shift to be 13.30-22.00, I decided not to accept the new hours, so was offered redundancy and to work the 4 weeks notice period on my original hours and pay rate. For approximately 1 week into this period I was the only person doing this shift as the other staff had either chosen to do the late shift, or were offered the 6.00-14.30 shift in our warehouse, there is a skeleton crew doing a newly created 9.00-17.30 shift, which wasn't offered to me,. All of a sudden there were temps coming in on the supposed defunct shift, who I had to train, so moving on 2 weeks and 2 days into my notice period I was summoned to the office to be thanked for my hard work and told I didn't need to attend for the rest of my notice period and would be paid up. I questioned why we had temps coming in and was told it was a two weeks period only. So I left quietly that Tuesday at my normal time, to cut a long story short I have been job hunting and noticed this week an advertisement for staff covering the shift I was made redundant from. I have spoken to A GAS & CAB who I have booked a meeting, I think I've been forced to take redundancy on a lie, any views or help from you guys would be much appreciated.
