My partner terminated his finance agreement and the vehicle was checked and collected today. The inspector checked the car over and afterwards told me it had a few scuffs on alloys a crack in the bumper and high mileage but sounded nice when started and was overall nice condition. He asked me to sign the tablet but there was nothing showing up just a box for a signature. I toom this as the car was good to go. Half an hour later it was collected. It had full service history 10 months mot keys etc and i gave them all the invoices for the work it has had done on it which equated to approx £1500. Now my partner has received a vehicle inspection report showing damage costing £1052 to put right. Most of this is small scuffs or scratches. The car is 10 years old and has been looked after. We cant afford to pay this and really dont see it as damage just wear and tear. Also if we had known before the car was taken away we could have got repairs done substantially cheaper. Any advice would be appreciated
