    Please can someone help me?

Back in Feb 2015, I received a parking notice issued by Premier Parking Solutions Ltd. which I completely ignored until I received a letter informing me that they were taking me to court.

I wished I had contested this at the time, as I had paid for the parking and arrived back to my car 2 hours before the ticket expired. However, unbeknown to me, was a short term parking bay. There were may signs scattered around the car park which made the rules unclear and confusing. Plus there were non numbered bays which i could have parked in but did not realise at the time.

I have since visited the same car park and all of the numbered bays have been removed so feel that I probably would have won if I did had contested the case!

Apologies for going on and will now get to the point............

On July 2016 I received a letter from Gladstone Solicitors informing me that the Court had ordered me to pay £262.50 and if I did not settle this debt would receive a CCJ. I was worried as I had just become a single parent and was purchasing a house at the time, so decided to swallow my pride and pay the debt.

I came home today to receive a letter from BW Legal, who have informed me that they have been instructed by Premier Parking Solution Ltd. to chase the debt as it remains outstanding. If I don't settle the debt they will be taken me to court if I do not pay £190.

I recently destroyed all of the evidence aIl I had as 2 years has passed but do have the payment noted on my bank statement.

I telephoned BW Legal immediately and informed them that I had paid the debt. They have asked for proof of this via a bank statement or receipt.

Please can you advise me on how I can put a stop to this?

Why have they taken 2 years to suggest I have not paid?

    Many thanks in advance
