parked in car park outside mcdonalds, stansted airport and receive " notice to registered keeper" in the post, demanding £100 or £60 if paid in 14 days, apparently" vehicle left in southgate park car park without payment made for parking and occupants left southgate park premises". i didnt leave the premises i went in mcdonalds, they have been less than helpful and said " you either parked in a starbucks space or you stayed in mcdonalds over an hour, theres nothing we can do "...any help would be gratefully recieved. I have read that i should appeal to MET, saying..I dispute the amount claimed is a genuine pre-estimate of loss. i didnt see any signs and no contact was formed. you do not have any authority to issue a ticket as i was a customer at mcdonalds. Would this be appropriate ?
