Hi,
We VT'd our car a couple of weeks ago, and now Mercedes have tried to charge us £400 for 2 tyres as they were not a brand they approved of, and also £450 for excess mileage. The car had no damage what so ever, as confirmed on the collection report.
I have stated section 99 of the Consumer Act, however they say we must adhere to their Vehicle Return Standards.
Can we legally challenge this? The tyres were new, just not run flats.
