The General Election Thread 2017

Well, Parliament have to approve a change in the 5 year fixed Parliament but Labour want to fight an election.
On April 25th(am trying to remember this from the BBC news earlier) Parliament is effectively dissolved and that means that there will be 6 weeks of campaigning.

Let's be blunt, it will be 10 weeks campaigning cos the local elections fall about 4 weeks before the general election.

The choices will be Tory, Labour, LibDems and I think we can say Greens(can't forget Brighton weirdos can we ).
Not forgetting the Independent in Clacton who will be up against the UKIP major party donor.

In Scotland, my expert has told me they'll never get rid of the Tory in Dumfries.
Some headlines are saying that Northern Ireland won't have a government.

At the moment the Tory party has a 15% lead in the polls. I just hope we don't get Nicola Sturgeon in the main election debates cos I can't vote for her in England so I don't care what she has to say

I see that,

Paid canvassing ( not allowed during election ), but they clearly was doing that. Also, bypassing the no calls list

I think it quite serious, can't understand why the---------- ( corbyn ) hasn't been banging on about it, i wander ---------- other parties did similar. or is it because the ---------- with their hand up his -------- don't want to .

i suppose the right question would be, Why arnt they shouting about this ? .
i dont belive in conspirayse within goverment, just becuase they take a certan amount of inteligents interligence, but,, i supose if you really wanted to ----- up brexit, best way would be to destabelise mps for the next year or so, .

There was a very interesting piece on Channel 4 news last week which didn't really make the mainstream media.

Apparently they went undercover at a dodgy Welsh call centre making canvasing calls (strictly not alowed) on behalf of the Tories just before the election, which the ICO are looking at.

heard she is in the background room with dress sense companies, they are trying to get rid of the sack bag effect she wears, also the Bra companies like "Wonderbra", are looking for a drab uplift to replace the belt she wears on her upper torso, dress sense like her leadership = no hope!

Theresa May did not connect with voters. I'm afraid we do have politicians these days who are good politicians but are terrible leaders in this era.
She is one of them and lead a terrible campaign. Corbyn became more likeable with each TV appearance...
