Re: yup Pt2537 is here now too
One question for Peter. You keep saying folks have been damaged/harmed by this case failing, but why should that be? They now have to end their disputes (presumably all interest and charges were suspended during legitimate disputes) and they resume repayment plans with Egg? Or is that wrong?

ACOriginally posted by Angry Cat View PostSapphire, with the greatest of respect, this matter can hardly be described as a petty squabble.
More like an unjustified character assassination, but the assassin is allowed to go free.
If you decide to ban me, then go ahead.
I take your comments on board, I really do, but I am not in the habit of banning anyone, unless as Leclerc suggests you start posting links to porn on the site then I shall do.
If you have a problem with another member please contact Admin and they will talk to you about it.
Please remember though Leclerc lives on his own and can do with all the help he can get :okay:

Sapphire, with the greatest of respect, this matter can hardly be described as a petty squabble.Originally posted by sapphire View PostPT I am pm'ing you.
What I would say to everyone is (in PIL as in my way so excuse how I say it), please, please can everyone leave their petty squabbles at the door, everyone is here ultimately for the same reason and that is if you all need reminding to give or get help against those who are trying to take the **** out of you, whether its financially or just by taking liberties.
I have never and nor has anyone on the team at Beagles ever advocated closing a thread because of sniping or petty squabbles, as none of us want to be heavy handed which does seem to be done on other forums, but if it does continue then I shall be speaking to admin and the other team members about just that idea.
I have to say that never have I been so ashamed and disgusted by the behaviour that I have witnessed here and it saddens me to the bottom of my heart.
Now lets get back to the matter in hand and start helping each other and stop this stupidity.
Rant over.

Re: yup Pt2537 is here now too
What's the point? I can understand how frustrating it must be to have virtually every post you make knocked just for the sake of it by someone whose need to massage their own ego far exceeds their ability to string together a coherent sentence.
As if that weren't enough, the poor guy has to put up with snidey and nasty libel on other forums where, to be perfectly honest, the poster should know better, especially when at least one of those forums is meant for PROFESSIONAL debate.
All that happens then is a constant battle develops to try to remain calm and professional in your own approach. And I can see how that must be very wearing.
No, if PT needs time out from all this crap, I say let him go. It's his sanity that is suffering under the onslaught after all, and nobody should have to put up with being stalked all over the internet like he has. If it was me, I'd probably have been hard pushed not to go round for a visit and sort things out face to face. Much respect for the restraint that PT has shown.
It's hard turning the other cheek against a playground bully, and IMVHO, I'm afraid that's the category I put Peterbard in.

Probably no need to---from PT's post on CAG.....Originally posted by LuggerBugs View PostTell you what... we could try sending Peter to Coventry. Simply ignore everything the wee ****e says.

-peter you really have got your wish, i shall be moving on and asking for the closure of my account in due course
I shall also be looking closely at your comments, and taking this to Defamation solicitors to seek a view on possible action to prohibit you from openly attacking me in the nasty manner you exhibit here

Re: Alexandra Slater v Egg Banking Plc August 9th 2010
I recently joined this forum because like many others I have debt problems which after a couple of years of twisting and turning I wanted to gain control of.
I like many others, in seeking information, flit from one forum to another following links and threads but felt that LB was the forum with the most informed and helpful contributors.
I realised that forums only exist on donations and joined for life.
I have not posted too many replies as I felt that I had no experience and needed to research and seek advice.
I have started a couple of threads and was blown over by the generous help I have received in particular from Pandora, Middenmiss and Mike770.
However I have seen in the past few days those very people who attracted me to this forum and were offering such good advice to others before I joined and who have so much experience become embroiled in this event.
So much so that new members who are seeking help are being ignored. To this end I have even started replying to posts using the little knowledge(not only a bad thing but also dangerous) to point them to previous threads or judgements that I have studied.
I am begging you all to do what you do best and share your experience and knowledge to benefit those who need it now.
Please stop wasting your time on what has gone before and concentrate on the good you can do in the future.
Remember some of those you help now will be passing your knowledge to others in years to come .Last edited by mahargrisch; 4th September 2010, 00:59:AM.

Re: Alexandra Slater v Egg Banking Plc August 9th 2010
I have removed the offending comment from my earlier post as I do not wish for PT to bring proceedings against me or against this forum.
I will not repeat the suggestion nor make any other related comments.

I would appreciate no further discussion on this matter.
PT has answered the questions put to him now.
The Egg judgment is there for all to read and you are most welcome to discuss the legal arguments and decisions within that judgment on this thread.
However personal attacks and unproven allegations are not acceptable. If anyone wishes to continue that avenue of discussion please contact me by pm and I will arrange for access to the Kennels.
An explanation of the Kennels can be found here - FORUM RULES - Please Read - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum
Thank you.

Regret to say that it will probably have to go to that extreme as you appear to be the whipping boy for all those who were expecting a different outcome to the Slater v Egg case.Unless someone can put proof on the table that these allegations are true please stop it or i will start proceedings to get it stopped,
It is damaging to me on a working level , and i am not prepared to allow this to continue, so please stop these allegations forthwith.
You've helped many people in their time of need but with one decision going the wrong way and despite your numerous successes, for many you've gone from Hero to Zero virtually overnight
I can imagine that you are more than just the angry that your mood indicator shows and hope that reason and common sense will return to this and other forums forthwith.
