My husband has recently made a will, making our sons executors and trustees.
He has left them his 2nd home and all remaining assets to them.
" I give all the residue of my estate and any property of which I have at my death any general power of appointment to my Trustees to hold upon the trusts and with and subject to the powers and provisions contained in this Will (such residue and any property currently representing it being referred to in this Will as the Trust Fund)"
Does this mean that upon his death our sons will own half of our home. If so does it have to be sold, or can I still live here, or choose to sell and use all the proceeds to buy another property. Do I need their consent to do this.
My husband has also left cash gifts of 20,000 to 4 grandchildren, and left a cash gift of £300 to myself.
Any help explaining this would be greatly appreciated.
