  • Domicile / residence for IHT and lasting power of attorney

Can anyone make any suggestions on this please.

Resident of England. They have a house in England. CT/Utilties in their name. UK passport. UK made Will with worldwide assets. Resident that was goes abroad 2023 and gets very ill. They cannot get back to UK and decides to stay away.
In tax year 2023/24 they only spent 1 month in UK. In tax year 2024/25 they have spend no time in UK so far.
Working out things with them... They will not now come back to UK.

For IHT purposes (if I'm still alive and still the Executor) is there a way of working out where this Resident's domicile is?
For LPA purposes does it matter?

    Thank you
