I have been receiving calls from 01914265432 4-5 times a day.
I haven't answered these calls, but I have done some research - heres what I found out
This is definitely 2Touch (on behalf of EDF)
Many people are being harassed by calls from 2Touch.
Folk have had some very ‘heated’ discussions with them. but they appear to be very thick skinned and just keep phoning folk,
A colleague has had calls through the day and night and arguments and they still call back, which is why I havent actually answered the calls. ( so the No in opt out option is based on a colleagues experience not mine,) I started receiving the calls yesterday,
EDF have appeared to pass on peoples contact numbers to 2Touch
I've decided to complain direct to EDF, via their complaints service – email address and procedure available on their website. (email: complaintsresolutionmanager@edfenergy.com).
Complaining of “Telesales Harassment”, i I' will insist they instruct 2Touch to remove my number and stop calling. I also promised to change my electricity supplier if they are unable to satisfy my complaint/request urgently. I will also take the opportunity to quote their ‘customer policies’ which are:
Is this a fair thing to do?
Are we being professional?
Are we offering products, services and advice that are appropriate for each customer’s needs?
Are we being transparent and communicating clearly?
Are we being honest? Including admitting mistakes and acting quickly to put them right.
A person Emailed a complaint on 4th July and received resolution (7th July) with many apologies and confirmation that their number has been withdrawn and would not be bothered again by them.
Let’s hope it works, but I think everyone should do similar in the hope that EDF either understands that this practice is unprofessional, unethical and unacceptable and/or that we as customers will not tolerate such treatment.
