Albert is for sale - Moted - Taxed - Left Hand Drive
Albert is a much loved T2 Camper that we fully refurbished in 2013 by a professional camper shop, and he has done us proud and never let us down. We are moving on to a new project so Albert must find a new home.
He has the original Westfalia Interior, and some really good front seats that are sprung. The interior consists of rock n roll bed that sleeps 2 adults and a pop top that folds down to give a really good sleeping space that you could get another 2 adults in. You have a jump seat that allows and additional passenger, and the cabinet has a sink with storage underneath, and a shelf that folds out for a cooker if needed. This layout also has one side as a storage wardrobe which is really useful. Overall, a really good layout that easily sleeps 4.
When we got Albert, he was in a decent condition with a straight and rust free chassis, we spend around £7k getting him up to a good spec. If you are looking for a great head turning T2 at a sensible price, then Albert is your man. Full below work done and spec-and
Full body re-spray with any required parts replaced, not filled !
Interior was fully re-upholstered in a top standard, including the wheel cover (the other car being done at the time was an Aston Martin DB7) These are not loose, ill fitting covers
Curtains - Professionally made curtains that are on a track to close round all windows
New Side Windows and Front Window
All new door and window seals so none perished
New rear exhaust
Seatbelts fitted throughout, 3 on the rock n roll seat, 1 on the jump seat and the front seats. You will see a lot of campers for sale without rear seatbelts, you would not drive a new car without them, why would you drive a 40 year old one !
Propex Heating System - This is a heating system located under the jump seat, it runs off gas and blows hot air. You have a thermostat to control the temperature. Real luxury on a cold night.
We sorted out a new fuse box, new interior lights and put in a leisure battery that charges itself when the engine is running.
The underside was given a complete underseal to protect it further.
Overall, a really nice, cared for campervan that will be much loved. We have not long had service with no issues
