1962 BSA Rocket Goldstar Rep, 650cc
Here is a fine example of a BSA A10 Rocket Goldstar replica. This machine has clearly had a lot of money spent . It has clearly had a fortune spent on the cosmetics and the mechanicals appear to be very good also. The bike is in excellent all round condition. It starts easily and sound fantastic with the siamese exhaust & Goldie silencer. It doesn’t rattle or smoke and ticks over nicely.(New Amal Monobloc carb fitted). The dynamo is giving a good charge and the lights are nice and bright. The Smith’s chronometric 150mph speeometer is working well. There is no rev counter fitted but the rev counter drive is intact & working. Gearbox and clutch are all OK.
This is a good but not over-restored bike.
It comes with V5c registration document. Registration is the transferable original 744ADN. Frame number is GA7.21517(62 Super-Rocket) ,engine number is DA10.17297. These numbers are all original factory stamping and they match the V5C doc.
There is an MOT certificate valid to June 26th 2015. The bike is registered for free Historic Class tax.
Cosmetically the bike looks superb. It is not as new or concours though! The paint on the frame is generally excellent stove enamel, a little used looking in places but very good. The swinging arm is the only part that has been touched up.
Chrome mudguards are as new. Seat is as new, exhaust is as new, tank is as new, wheel rims and spokes are all stainless and are as new. Tyres are as new front & rear.
Head is alloy and the barrel is thick-flange type all fins are perfect.
Enamel on tank is of a high quality and the black enamel on oil tank & toolbox is also pretty good. Both side & centre stands are fitted and in good order.
Don’t miss this awesome 1960’s cafe-racer era classic! A stunning looking BSA by any standard!
