  • Quote me unhappy

My parents just got a new (second hand car). I've helped them to get insurance online. However, it now turns out that NCD confirmation needs to contain so much subsidiary information that a separate letter from his present insurer is required. In addition, it turns out that they automatically assume that there is no other vehicle in the family (?). As it is not so it appears that they will remove all NCD anyway. None of this information was requested at the time of taking out the insurance or in T&C. I've suggested that they go for an alternative insurance. Obviously, they will be stung by pro-rata insurance and "cancellation fees" of £25 (which I remember). I will be fighting to get this fee refunded but a warning - it seems that "quote me (un)happy" is trying to earn money by the back door.
