  • Faulty car on finance- 9 times recovered. Where do I stand?

Hi I am hoping to get some advice. I am looking for guidance and where to take this next. We are awaiting a independent report to hand the car back on finance (as requested by finance company). It has complete electric failure again!

I have listed an outline of the problem below, you can see its long winded so bear with me. Renault were unable to locate the problem with the vehicle during the warranty. Basically there's an issue that has blown the main electrical fuse box 3 times, they have replaced this but I have evidence from them that they can't locate the problem to fix it. It has since blown again and now out of finance it has created a huge problem financially. Please see the notes below.

The main dealer are still unable to find the repeating problem. Does this brake the consumer rights act section 15? Am I likely to gain anything from this? It's causing a huge amount of stress both emotionally and defianatley financially. I am out of work until I can get this resolved as I don't have a car to compute to work whilst also being able to collect the kids from school.

    Any advice would be appreciated

30/09/2022- Renault Pontypridd call and say that fault unknown. Same electric fuse box has blown (THE SAME ONE HAS BEEN CHANGED 3 TIMES IN 18 MONTHS) but unsure why. Thinks that this could be the starter motor, but not sure as car was in motion.
Speak with RENAULT UK - advised that the fault is NOT the starter motor, advised the only way to locate problem is for me to agree for them to strip the vehicle, this is payable by me.
01/10/2022- speak with Renault Griffin Mill, further investigated. Thinks it's starter motor can replace for £1300 but doesn't know if this is the actual fault and if this will fix the problem. FAULT STILL UNKNOWN
