Reclaim mileage below allowance after VT of PCP agreement

Hi , I recently handed back my car after the decision to VT the finance deal as i was no longer using the car for the amount I was paying. No problems with the car apart from £72 following an inspection and assessment by BCA however I am below the mileage allowance by over 10,000 miles as set out in a letter sent by VWFS. My question is - can i claim the difference in mileage allowance in the same way they would claim for excess mileage and what would be the best approach to take to achieve this?
