Hi
This is my first post!
I Voluntary Terminated my car with Mercedes back in April and used the templates on this forum and followed the guidance steps.
In short Mercedes are trying to invoice me for £2500 in excess mileage charges. I have not been invoiced for any other wear and tear as the car was in excellent condition.
I had paid over £18500 and the VT point was just over £17000. The car went to auction for over £16000 was sold straight away; my early settlement figure was £16400.
MBFS have not answered the points in the template letter and have basically stated that the charges apply as part of contract and have now passed to dlc there debt recovery agency.
I used the templates on legal beagle and stated that I do not believe I have an outstanding balance and that they should follow the correct protocol to take me to court.
DLC have written back and in summary have stated they would prefer to avoid legal action & arrange a repayment plan with me directly or talk through other options bit if I don’t respond within 14 days - 19th Oct then the case will be passed to solicitors.
Any advice on next steps much appreciated especially around other options?
Regards
Ted
