  • VT of Hire Purchase agreement with Barclays Partner Finance.

i have read through threads similar to what i am about to go through with my VT and this website has helped me immensely so far, But i wanted to make a new thread to update as i experience my first VT with Barclays.

I will have paid my final payment taking me over the 50% threshold on 19/08/19 (Monday) and i intend to VT my agreement with the use of template from R0b (thank you) that i will build upon. Barclays are aware that i intend to do this as they have sent me the forms which i now know to not sign under any circumstances but instead inform them in writing which i will be posting recorded delivery

I am worried with what they are going to try and charge me for " fair wear and tear " or what they will deem as "reasonable care" of the car as it has a few bumps and scratches. 2 damaged alloys, a few very minor dents, and a cracked back of a wing mirror. i know they use the BVRLA guidelines to determine this and i can argue that CAP is a more accurate valuation as the car is 5 years old.

this s the first time i am going through this process and i am not entirely sure what to expect any and all advise / direction would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
