Parking - I bought parking for the wrong car.

Hi
I used an app to buy parking. My own car had broken down so I was using a borrowed car and forgot to change the registration number on the app when purchasing the parking. I received a PCN. I appealed the PCN as I could prove via the app that I had paid for parking at the relevant time and location. They refused the appeal. I have now received court papers. Do I have grounds to defend myself?
