  • PPL Letter of Claim

    Hi,

Advice needed please, I do feel as keeper I will have to pay the money as the driver overstayed by 24 mins however £160 for 24 mins is alot!

1st January 2018 - driver overstayed parking by 24 mins

20th Jan - appeal made as registered keeper

25th Jan - response from PPL asking for details of driver - not given

July 2019- letter from BW Legal saying passed to them

July 2019- letter before claim - response needed by 16th August.

I have sent a SAR to PPL to check the NTK was within time (I don't have a copy of this) and they have a month to respond which is the 14th August.

Email to BW Legal asking to put my case on hold.
They did send me the info they have from PPL which is a 'Parking Charge Notice' issued 8th Jan however this was to my old address from pre October 2017 (details updated with DVLA early Nov 2017) However I must have received one to my current address as I appealed it.
Reminder sent to my old address again.
They also sent a copy of an apparent official response with a POPLA code on however I never received this
It looks like an email but doesn't have a date or email address on it just my name so I dispute they ever sent this to me.

What I want to know is if the NTK is within time frame and legit, do I have any chance of appeal with the fact I dispute they sent a POPLA code at all? And all letters they have are to my old address.
Or do i just pay and get it over with?!

    Thanks
