Letter from county court business centre

Just received this letter about a supposed parking offences in Dec 15.
I had a ticket given to me by a very kind man who had time left. I was unaware that accepting this wasn't allowed.
Can anyone advise how so should defend myself in this case?
It's from BW legal on behalf of Excel
