I recently 8/5/2014 visited the above shopping centre with my Daughter and Bride to Be to shop for our wedding outfits, the car park is run by Parking Eye and there are no meters to pay as its free for shoppers,we spent just over 3 hours there and bought some nice things plus enjoyed lunch there,i have now receiveda penalty charge notice of £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days, they are saying its free for 3 hours but as i stayed 3hours and 44 minutes i overstayed,if there are no meters to pay for the excess time how is that fair? also a £100 for 44 minutes thats extortion isn't it? so what do i do,friends have told me to ignore it!!!!! i have emailed to there appeals site but have heard nothing back, what should have been a nice day has been spoilt and the £450 we spent on outfits feels soured,i am even thinking of returning all the things we bought to the stores there with my reasons for doing so,the only reason i,m not is because i live over 100 miles from there and it would cost me more than the fine to do so,any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated
