  • CCJ for PCN wrongfully issued

Hi sorry I will this short as possible. I was issued a parking ticket by tower hamlets council for parking without a resident parking permit. However it was wrongfully issued. Application was made by myself on 04/02/2022 for a resident permit. Once a application is made and being processed you are exempt from getting a ticket. This is clearly also stated on THC website. They also take £90 authorised payment when submitting application and once approved it’s taken from bank. Ticket was issued 09/03/2022 @ 09:32am in the process period. THC emailed me 09/03/2022 @ 11:30am informing me my permits been approved. Fast forward to now I have a CCJ and CDer group enforce my agency contacting me about it. I was only aware of ticket when I got letter from country court, I responded with a out of time gave my reason why. This was declined by court. I never heard anything back till last week. A letter was sent 02/12/2022 from county court stating I could ask a judge to look at it and pay a sum but had to be completed within 14days. Due to Royal Mail strike I didn’t get this letter till last week (now out of 14 days) contacted parking debt recovery at tower hamlets council explaining it all adding proof ! And was emailed back saying to either apply for N244 at £250, pay enforcement officer £600 or seek legal advice. THC are aware it was issued wrongfully but not willing to help. I can’t afford to pay £250 for a N244 form I just don’t have it. Not a sob story but I’m a single working mum of 4 I can’t spare that sort of money. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. I do have various proof. Tia
